David’s Reflection

In this book we see David slay Goliath in a match which clearly made it easy for Goliath to win due to his physical superiority. We see that the only difference between Goliath and David truly lies mentally. As I have said in previous blogs believing in god can help people survive and during this fight the believe of David in god made him calm and helped him concentrate to attack Goliath in the right spot. Also we see that Goliath on the other hand was nervous for the fate of his entire country was in his hands and probably failed because his religious support wasn’t as strong.

We can also see this as a demonstration of what happens when humanity comes together as a single banner. Although Christians don’t have to be this it sets the example that those united by something like this can succeed in an easier way than what those who were divided by many gods were. Although other religion can be greater than Christians as long as we stand under a single banner we will be strong.

It is interesting that God show’s us the way to become better people is to believe in him. This might be a contradiction because of what god has showed us to prove this wrong. First he breaks the first commandment by allowing David to kill. This should have been a sin but yet he is forgiven. Also we see that same contradiction when Moses is made to unleash all of those plagues upon Egypt. Although they aren’t circumcised, they are still humans and god’s creation. This shows that maybe believing in god isn’t the best way because a god that contradicts it does no good to anyone.

A similar contradiction can be seen because he wanted us to be separate from each other by making us speak different languages. This means that if he wouldn’t have done that then he wouldn0t have to bother saving all of those people in the exodus or even in the wars.
