“Because God Wanted It To Be That Way”, Is That What We Really Need to Know?

There is one thing in common with the people in the bible and is that all have blind faith in god. We see that they have explained everything through god’s will but more importantly god does appear to show them that they are right. Now we don’t see god anymore telling us what his will is and what is not. Since the flood he was supposed to leave us alone and let us evolve in to what we wanted. The main problem was that this lack of explanation will not fulfill the needs of what we need to know. We will have to interpret the bible very deeply in order to understand a part of it. Now the fact that the meaning of this was meant to be for Hebrews a long time ago, then the actual meaning behind the words will be hard to pass on to the other language,  especially if you don’t understand completely the world that it was written in.

Now today we go beyond that simple explanation to everything, we want to know facts, things that we can see and feel. The scientific method for example is a system based on observation and this is what we want to have as proof, observation. There is nothing we can do to contradict this because that is almost second nature. Since the moment we are born we are thought that you have to see in order to believe something even in a subconscious way like Ishmael said about the constant whisper of mother culture in to our ears. Although we ignore it is there and we follow it. Maybe for today’s standards people want something more than just believing in what other saw a couple of thousands of years before. It is more about what we can see and live now.

Another thing that I would like to point out is that as time passed man lived less. Adam lived almost a thousand years but Abraham and some of his closest ones only lived seventy or around that time except for some exceptions. This could prove that as time passes man lives less and less probably meaning something very deep which I too will try to understand. To me it could be a constant reminder that death exists and that there is no way of stopping or escaping. It could also mean that the fall of man wasn’t really something good, that we are all part of the energy of a single being that as times passes the breath of life originally given to Adam is spread so much that no other living human exists.   thing could happen and that this could  

Finally I would like to add that because the way the text can contradict itself at times and the way in which can make it confusing but more importantly free to deep analysis, maybe this analyzing of the text has done us no good. Maybe after so much interpreting the text has began to lose its meaning because we can’t really understand it the various theories of what it means eventually separated the religion once again. If this were to happen and our religion be based on other’s people’s translation of the bible then all we can do is wait and hope that when there is a new translation and this one has been forgotten, then we can hope that some of the original meaning will remain to teach us something.
